Smiley enjoyed continued successes at the world’s leading food trade show, Anuga, at the end of 2017. This success was spearheaded by Smiley Fruity, Smiley’s first foray into beverages with leading distributor L’Abeille, who have sold over a million cannettes into some of Europe’s leading supermarket and specialty stores including; Auchan, Carrefour, Leader Price, Leclerc, Casino, Carrefour, Monoprix and Netto in Germany.


 To support this launch Smiley crafted an exciting TV advertising campaign to promote Smiley Fruity, in tandem with leading advertising agency LMWR. The adverts, which were aired on prime time French kids TV, reached over 20 million viewers during the course of the campaign and also extend on to YouTube, where it reached another 10 million viewers through carefully targeted promotion. 

 Whilst snacking partner Intersnack, has launched a variety of new products into the global market, including stacked chips which is patent pending and this has seen the brand expand into a variety of new territories including Germany and Poland.  


 Finally Italian licensee Zaini, who specialise in chocolate, will have sold nearly 1 million Smiley chocolate eggs this year.

 Food continues to be a growth category for Smiley and there are plenty of opportunities for new partnerships across the full range of hot, cold and snacking products.
