Smiley CEO Nicolas Loufrani joined a panel of industry experts yesterday at Brand Licensing Europe 2016 to discuss the growth opportunities in food and beverage licensing.




Nicolas spoke alongside Louise French VP of Marketing and Business Development at Beanstalk and Philippe Guinaudeau CEO of Kidz Global, in a session chaired by Bruno Schwobthaler, the author of ‘Licensing for Growth’.

The panel touched on some key discussion points in the food and beverage industry today including; new trends in F&B licensing, expectations from customers, success stories and key factors for growth, where next for IP owners and can F&B match other growth categories.

Nicolas Loufrani’s keynote focussed on the amazing growth in Smiley’s food licensing program over the last 2 years that has seen Smiley grow from 7 F&B licensees to 17 in the last 12 months and retails sales increase by over a third. Nicolas also showcased Smiley’s insight driven strategy that includes development of national brand and private label products as well as on-pack promotion.
