It’s been a phenomenal 12 months for the one and only official Smiley face in the world of Food Promotions as the brand continues to grow its presence in the market, enjoying exciting new FMCG promotional campaign with some of the industry’s biggest and best names.
That is why the The Original Smiley brand is delighted to announce two exciting new partnerships for 2016, which will continue to put the world’s happiest brand at the forefront of food licensing today.
Smiley will team up with Dunkin Brands to be the face of Dunkin Donuts’ new Global Donut Day promotion. This exciting activation is an extension of the chain’s celebrations around National Donut Day which falls on the first Friday in June. Smiley will be featured on donuts and appear in marketing and in-store POS, helping to bring a smile to the face of Dunkin Donuts customers across 3,200 franchise outlets in 40 countries worldwide. Dunkin Donuts crew members will be wearing Smiley branded “flash” merchandise, and Smiley will feature in all brand’s digital and social media campaigns around this event.
Smiley will also join forces with one of Europe’s leading QSR chains, Quick, to produce a promotional campaign to accompany their kids meal. Launching in May 2016 Smiley will feature on Quick’s Fun Box across Europe and together the brands have created fun-filled packs which customers can enjoy with the purchase of a kids meal. Featuring a selection of six branded goodie bags based on Smiley inspired themes including music, love, happiness, friendship, sleepy and sports, each pack will be filled with a selection of fun SmileyWorld gifts including pin badges, bracelets, trading cards, posters, stickers and transferable tattoos. The campaign will see the one and only official Smiley feature on a wide variety of promotional materials including TV & print advertising, in-store point of sale and packaging.
These significant new deals follow hot on the heels of recent promotional campaigns with powerhouse FMCG brands including Brossard who built a gift with purchase and social media activation campaign around SmileyWorld. Smiley has also been the main promoted surprise in Kinder Joys for Ferrero for 2015, and into 2016 across Europe.
