It’s been a couple of days since we returned from another epic Glastonbury festival weekend, and the Smiley team has just about managed to sufficiently recover to give you a little recap!! 😀

Now that the dust has settled on probably the biggest outdoor party in the UK festival calendar, we thought it would be a good time to share some of the highlights from our time at Glasto, and the Isle of Wight fest! 🙂

Isle of Wight Fest!

Earlier this month the Smiley team travelled across the Solent to the Isle of Wight Festival, ready for a weekend of fun in the island sun!

We were there in part to support the awesome guys from Palladium Boots, who had a stylish stand set up in the artists area to promote our beautiful new capsule collection celebrating both brand’s landmark anniversaries!

The Palladium booth was a huge success, luring big name bands and artists to swing by for a chat, a picture, and of course, a free pair of boots! Throughout the weekend you could spot celebs such as Ricky Wilson of the Kaiser ChiefsThe Paves, Sex Pissed Dolls, and Rag and Bone man wandering the site in their new favourite shoes – the bright Smiley yellow ones were particularly hard to miss! 😉

Alongside the Palladium team was their group of awesome high profile Instagram fashion bloggers, who were all super excited to get their hands on the exclusive new collection before they hit the stores! With a flair for style and their fun-loving festival attitude, they were the perfect gang to show off the beautiful boots to their thousands of followers around the world!

Also in attendance were Claire’s, swinging by the festival as part of their #ClairesOnTour summer festival celebration! With their group of gorgeous bloggers they could be seen glittering for miles around, snapping selfies and sipping smoothies with stylish Smiley backpacks and tumblers! 😀

But as the gates closed on a wonderful weekend of top tunes and banging beats on the Isle of Wight, the Smiley team were already gearing up for Glastonbury the following week!

Glastonbury Festival!

As the sun rose on a sleepy Castle Cary train station, the Smiley squad were already set up and ready to spread some happiness to the poor souls stuck in the monstrous queues leading into Glastonbury!

The sun was beating down but despite the heat, festival goers were delighted to celebrate with our team, who were handing out freebies to bring Smiles to anyone passing by! Over 60 huge yellow Smiley flags were given away to help guide people back to their campsites, or just to wave about in front of the iconic pyramid stage throughout the weekend – some even featured on the BBC’s coverage of the headline acts on Saturday!

We also handed out a huge number of Smiley badges and stickers to decorate tents, bags, and clothing, and a staggering 1000 Smiley ponchos were given away to help deal with the chance of the traditional Glastonbury rain that has swamped the campgrounds in recent years!

It was a wonderful weekend but it wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of all the festival workers, station staff, and emergency services who kept things running as smoothly as possible with thousands of people passing through a sleepy little station. The Smiley team is proud to have been there to help support these unsung heroes in their quest to ensure everyone enjoys a fantastic festival of fun in the sun!

The British festival season might seem to be winding down after these landmark events, but there is still plenty of festival fun to be had up and down the country this summer – check out our handy calendar to see when the next event is hitting your local area!

But wherever you choose to party this summer, remember to keep smiling and spread happiness wherever you go! 🙂 ')}
