Pumpkin Pie

Now you might be wondering what to do with all that lovely pumpkin mush you scooped out of your Smiley lantern, but fear not! We’ve got a tasty recipe for delicious pumpkin pie ready to go!

You will need:

  • 9 inch unbaked pie shell
  • 2 cups of pumpkin flesh
  • 1 can of spooky sweet condensed milk
  • 1 evil egg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon

This one couldn’t be any easier! In large bowl, mix all of the ingredients together (except the pie shell!) Pour your mixture into the pie shell and bake at 190°c (375°f) for 50-55 minutes. Chill for 1 hour and serve with whipped cream!

You can even have your kids decorate the pie with raisins and dried fruit to make a creepy jack-o-lantern face!

It’s all hallows eve,

when monsters come out,

but people are laughing,

there’s no need to pout!

So smile and be merry,

on this happy night,

be kind to each other,

or you may get a fright!
