The Smiley Company have teamed up with Nestlé Waters to create an on-pack promotion to help promote Vittel® smaller format bottles in 2017.

This exciting partnership will see Smiley’s world famous icons feature on 33, 50, 75 cl and 1 litre bottles in a bid to increase awareness of these formats. With 130 million Smiley branded Vittel® bottles launched into Belgium, French, German, Russian, and Swiss markets in April, with the campaign due to run through to October 2017.

This exclusive partnership will form part of Smiley’s 20th anniversary celebrations throughout 2017, which sees the brand celebrate creating the world’s first digital Smileys in 1997. This landmark innovation sparked a digital revolution that led to billions of Smileys being sent across the world and the birth of the world’s first emoticon-inspired lifestyle brand – SmileyWorld.




As well as the on-pack promotion,Vittel® and Smiley will collaborate on a wide range of marketing activations. This includes a comprehensive video advertising campaign that has just launched on Facebook and features 4 seperate videos that all promote different themes aligned to each format.

These themes include:

33cl – a fantasy adventure with Smileys coming to life after dark to highlight the phosphorescent branding on this bottle format.



50cl – which highlights the unique and varied nomadic lifestyles of the Smiley and Vittel® consumer today.



75cl – Targets the active fitness consumer and showcases the need to rehydrate during and after physical activities.



1 litre –  Aimed at the office worker and encouraging them to drink one litre of water through the working day.



As well as the extensive video campaigns, Vittel will embark on an extensive POS campaign that will feature digital billboard advertising within malls that are in proximity to key retail outlets that will feature a full in-store activation that includes palettes, shelf advertising, catalogue advertising and other activities.
